Subsidy Removal: Niger Gives Free Transport to Public Schools

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Bago has ordered free transportation of government school pupils within the state.

He said this measure is to help ensure that learners have easy access to education, amidst the removal of fuel subsidy by the President Tinubu administration.

He said the free transportation for the children at the basic level of education will encourage pupils to go to school at the basic education level and again cushion the effect of subsidy removal.
