Japan will allow up to 10, 000 local spectators in venues when they host the Olympics.
According to the organizing committee officials and the IOC, a limit of 50 percent capacity will be set.

The president of local organizing committee, Seiko Hashimoto, said it’s important to acknowledge any uncertainty amid the pandemic and that fans will no longer be allowed should a state of emergency be imposed.
Fans from overseas were banned several months ago, and local spectators will be prohibited from cheering.
The Tokyo games are set to open on July 23rd.
