The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to improving the delivery of quality basic education in Nigeria.
Speaking at a three-day meeting in Abuja involving the management of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and executive chairmen of State Universal Basic Education Boards from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Minister of Education, Dr. Murufu Olatunji Alausa, reaffirmed the Tinubu-led administration’s determination to transform the country’s education sector.
Represented by his Senior Special Assistant (SSA), Dr. Ismaila Adiatu, the Minister emphasized the government’s dedication to addressing Nigeria’s growing out-of-school children crisis. The Executive Secretary of UBEC, Hajiya Aisha Garba, highlighted that the meeting underscored the commission’s collective resolve to ensure that every Nigerian child has access to quality basic education, regardless of their educational background.
