The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed that it will set the official cut-off marks for 2025 admissions into universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and monotechnics on Monday, July 8, 2025.
This decision will be made during the annual JAMB Policy Meeting, scheduled to take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre (formerly International Conference Centre) in Abuja.
JAMB announced the development via its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday evening, stating:
“The 2025 Policy Meeting holds on 8th July, 2025 at Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja. The Policy Meeting is the gathering of stakeholders where policy guidelines and other relevant regulations on admission are discussed and ratified for the next academic year.
“Please note that attendance is strictly by invitation, however you can follow us on our social media handles for live coverage.”
The policy meeting is a critical annual event where top education stakeholders, including heads of universities, polytechnics, and colleges, come together to discuss and agree on guidelines for the upcoming admission cycle.
During the session, JAMB and institutional representatives will finalize the minimum required Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scores, commonly referred to as cut-off marks, for admission into different tertiary institutions.
The meeting will also serve as a platform for aligning admission timelines, application deadlines, and official guidelines, ensuring a streamlined and transparent admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Additionally, JAMB is expected to unveil the top-performing candidates in the 2025 UTME during the meeting.
