The National Youth Service Corps has announced a revision to the orientation schedule for prospective corps members posted to Enugu and Osun States under the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II exercise.
In a statement released on Monday by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the scheme disclosed that orientation activities in the two states will now begin on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and conclude on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The NYSC explained that the adjustment was necessary due to ongoing upgrades at the orientation camps.
NYSC said, *“This slight adjustment is due to the on-going extensive renovation of the Camps by the State Governments which has necessitated the change in date.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the Orientation Exercise for all other states and the FCT is scheduled to be held from Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to Tuesday, May 12, 2026.”*
Prospective corps members assigned to Enugu and Osun have been advised to take note of the updated dates and make necessary preparations accordingly.
The scheme also extended well wishes to all prospective corps members, encouraging safe travel to their respective orientation camps.
Earlier reports indicated that the NYSC had released call-up letters for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II participants. Checks confirmed that call-up numbers and deployment details were uploaded to the portal early Monday, although many users experienced access challenges due to high traffic.
