A multiple-vehicle accident involving two articulated trucks and a private car occurred on Monday morning along the Gbagada Expressway in Lagos, triggering an emergency response from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.
According to a traffic update released by LASTMA, the collision happened at the TREM inward Gbagada section of the expressway.
The agency said emergency response teams were immediately dispatched to the scene, while a tow truck was deployed to remove the damaged vehicles and restore normal traffic flow.
LASTMA also confirmed that its Rescue and Recovery Unit was actively managing the situation by coordinating the evacuation of the affected vehicles and directing traffic around the accident scene.
Recovery operations were still underway at the time of the latest update, with officials working to clear the obstruction and reduce delays for commuters.
The traffic management agency advised motorists approaching the area to exercise caution, obey traffic officials, and expect temporary delays until the recovery exercise is completed.
As of the time this report was filed, no casualties or injuries had been officially confirmed.
