Soludo Sends Second Batch Of Commissioner Nominees To Anambra Assembly

Chukwuma Soludo has forwarded a second batch of commissioner nominees to the Anambra State House of Assemblyfor screening and confirmation.

The list was presented during Tuesday’s plenary session and received by the Speaker of the House, Somtochukwu Udeze.

Following the submission, the Speaker referred the nominees to the House Committee on Screening and Election Matters for further legislative action and possible confirmation.

The new list contains three nominees alongside their proposed portfolios.

They include Henry Arinze as Commissioner-designate for Housing, Nonso Ebonwu as Commissioner-designate for Commerce, and Ezeaka Uwaeme, who was nominated as Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency.

After receiving the names, Udeze confirmed that the Assembly would begin the screening process in accordance with legislative procedures.

He also disclosed that lawmakers are preparing to confirm members of the first batch of nominees who have already completed their screening exercise.

The first batch, which contained 18 nominees, was transmitted to the Assembly on May 5.
