Nigerian fashion designer and entrepreneur Victoria James, popularly known as Veekee James, has announced the arrival of her first child with her husband, Femi Atere.
The celebrity designer shared the news through an emotional social media post, revealing that the couple welcomed a baby girl named Eliana Adeife Atere.
In the reveal video, the newborn appeared dressed in a pink knitted sweater with her name embroidered on the outfit. Veekee James also explained the meaning behind the name “Eliana.”
“She’s Here @elianaatere 🥹 02-May-26. Eliana Adeife Atere. EL (God) and ANA (He has answered), signifying ‘My God has answered.’ 1 Samuel 1:27 — ‘For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him’”.
The announcement comes after months of speculation among fans and followers, many of whom noticed the award-winning designer’s absence from major social and entertainment events in recent months. The development sparked rumours that she had travelled abroad in preparation for childbirth.
